S-Town and Ysrael

Brian Reed is someone who could be classified as a casual investigator. He receives emails from tons of people about mysterious events that took place in their town. Brian then sometimes visit some of these places to see if he could solve the mystery and figure out what took place. John B. McLemore is someone that had emailed Brian Reed about a case on the Bibb County Sheriff’s Department. John gets off topic a lot throughout the podcast. At times I felt that John story might have been made-up as a tactic to get attention.

Brian was in S-Town because he went to meet up with John B. McLemore to talk about the incident that John emailed him about.

Ysreal is a boy who was well-known for walking around with his face covered. There are many rumors about what had happened to his face. Some said that when he was a baby a pig had eaten his face off. Yunior and Rafa were in the campo because their mom had to work long hours. The two brothers were out of school for a break so their mom decided to ship them to their tios. The fact that she had to work long hours, she had no energy to deal with Yunior and Rafa. The brother’s relationship was like a typical younger, older sibling relationship. Rafa is the younger brother who shadows his older brother. Yunior, who is the older brother, felt annoyed by his little brother trying to copy everything that he does.
