This article is about the neurological/brain research in relation to dance. The author focus on how dance forces people to pay attention more. The article went on and discuss how dancers are constantly using their brains to learn now steps. There was an investigation done comparing dancers and non-dancers to find their attention span. This source is tightly related to my research topic because it shows how dancers are constantly using their brains. The results of the experiment show that dancers have a greater attention span. This leads to a conclusion that dancing challenges the brain as well as keeps it functioning to its full potential. This source relates to other sources I have looked at because it talks about how dancing increases individual’s attention span. This source has many strengths, such as, the wide range of information that focuses on the different ways dancing can significantly affect the brain. While that information is very important for my topic, this article fails to fully explain how dancing causes the different effects. I find the source interesting because to provide me with different ways on how dance could affect the brain which causes the brain to be healthier. The multiple examples that this source provides help me research different activities that cause the brain to be healthier.
